We are opening a new showroom at our warehouse in Denny. It is easily accessible from the M80 and M876. It is open by Appointment Only, however, if you are coming from the Central Belt, Perthshire, Fife or the Highlands, this may be a great way of seeing our bespoke flooring products without coming into Glasgow. We should be opened by the end of March 2013.

Recently supplied and fitted our new range of concrete flooring at The Network Building on Tottenham Court Road; Our Duplex concrete is a panel of HDF with a counterbalance and an adhesion layer on which a 3mm concrete is coated and has been finished with various patinas. The 3mm top layer consists of 95% concrete (cement, sand etc) and 5% resin glue for optimal adhesion. Our concrete has supports other than HDF for different applications e.g. bathrooms or furniture specified on application.The panels come in 2 standard sizes: 122 × 122cm and 122 × 247cm. Also, on specific demand 122 × 300cm. The panels can be cut and worked on with traditional wood tools. The blades and saws should be diamond coated.

We have introduced a  panel 120 x 80cm, the patinas options are limited, however the cost has reduced.

Surface Plus launches the Bux: The new Bux seat by Dutch Summer is a Chesterfield pouf suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It is available in black, white, silver, blue, pink, grey, brown, light brown, mint green and box tree green with a handmade, padded, soft, imitation leather or real leather finish. The vase is available in white, terracotta and black.The removable seat means the colour of the Bux can be easily changed.

The very first Wobbly event was WobbleAid 1 in Donegal in August 2008.it has been an annual event ever since and now, for the first time, WobbleAid comes to Scotland! The venue is Arta in Glasgow’s Merchant City on Saturday 24 March 2012.  Tickets cost £10 and include a free drink, and entry to the Arta nightclub after the gig. tickets can be ordered via e-mail (WobbleAid@WobblyWilliams.com) or through Tickets Scotland here (tickets bought through Tickets Scotland are subject to a £1.50 booking fee)

Surface+ has decided to close its Edinburgh showroom late April 2011. This will not effect our existing work or presence in Edinburgh as we will still have a representative covering the East coast for site visits etc. Our larger Glasgow showroom (which will be refurbished in April), will become the destination shop for Scotland and will have all our products on display and will also be displaying our exciting new ranges. This year our aim is to focus on the Glasgow showroom, the G4 Design Collective and open in London!

Surface+ have just completed fitting a  European oak 'ladder' effect at the new Douglas Hotel. The colour, size and grade was specified by the client and we got it manufactured to suit their needs.....looks great!

Surface Plus are now the main distributor in the UK for The Bux Seat – a unique and striking seating object for outdoor and indoor use.

The BUX seat is available in black, white, silver, blue, pink, grey, brown, light brown, mint green and box tree green with a handmade, padded, soft, imitation leather or real leather finish. The Vase is available in white, terracotta and black. The removable seat means you can change the colour of your Bux easily.

Surface Plus now supplies and installs leather flooring. Our leather flooring sets a new landmark in room design with sustainable materials. The surface is made of 100% recycled, genuine leather, and the use of cork (a renewable resource) enhances the feeling of comfort, warmth and quietness. Our leather flooring is sophisticated with plenty of personality and detail.

Surface Plus now supplies and installs Metal Timber – timber which has been coated with a layer of metal. This comes in 3 different finishes: Bronze, Nickel-Silver and Copper. The metal surface looks and performs just like solid metal. The metal is applied by hand and therefore the complete surface cannot be entirely uniform. This creates small irregularities which enhance the natural and authentic appearance of the metalised floors and do not diminish the overall aspect in any way.
